The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is responsible for the investigation of Crimes Against Persons, Property Crimes and Narcotics Crimes. This division is also responsible for the collection, processing, and storage of evidence from crime scenes.

The Investigations Division is also responsible for the registration and monitoring of sex offenders within the county. Information about registered sex offender's in the county can be viewed under the Sex Offender Registry Tab. The Investigations Division developed the Hot Tip page which allows citizens to report crimes and anonymously provide information to the Sheriff's Office. Deputies, over the past years, have been able to solve many crimes through the use of this program.

The Hot Tip page is for persons who have information about crimes. The information is kept confidential and is used to assist in solving crimes. Your identity is kept confidential and, unless you allow it, will not be released.

This information in the past has been extremely valuable and has allowed law enforcement to solve crimes in the Craig and Moffat County area.

You will be asked if you want to provide your name. Whether you give your name or not, you will be asked to give a Nickname. This Nickname can be any combination of numbers or letters.
